FULL INTERIOR DESIGN FOR RENOVATION PROJECTS

Deepen your connection to home.

A major renovation shouldn’t feel like a series of overwhelming compromises. Our process is a highly collaborative, side-by-side partnership where your voice is central to every decision.
By anchoring technical interior architecture in your family’s habits, we ensure the design journey feels transparent and inspiring, handing you back a character-rich home that feels beautifully intentional, functions flawlessly and fits your life exactly.

Before You Build: Renovation Feasibility

Design foresight, from the ground up.

Whether you are starting with a completely blank canvas before approaching an architect, or you already have initial drawings in hand, we help you explore what is truly possible for your home. Together, we look closely at your ideas to map out spatial flow, furniture placement and natural light before any major commitments are made.
This gentle, collaborative feasibility review adds a protective layer of care to your journey. It gives you total peace of mind that your home extension or renovation is beautifully aligned with your budget and your daily life before the project gets going.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

ABOUT KATE: FROM CINEMATIC SETS TO PERSONAL HOMES

I’m Kate Lovejoy. Before establishing my residential studio, I spent a decade as a film set designer, learning that every choice we make with colour, layout and lighting directly shapes how a room feels to be in. Today, I bring that same technical precision and storytelling into private family homes through a deeply personal, client-focused approach.
Since 2009, I’ve partnered with families who want something deeper than just a superficial, picture-perfect room. True design is a gentle partnership; you deserve a collaborative experience where your house is shaped around your unique story and the way you actually love to live every day.

FAQ's: WORKING WITH AN INTERIOR DESIGNER

GOT QUESTIONS?

A home renovation is as much about feeling as it is about form. Below, we’ve answered some of the questions we’re asked the most.

What should I expect when working with Kate Lovejoy Interiors on a full home renovation? →

Working with Kate Lovejoy Interiors is a deeply collaborative, step-by-step partnership designed around how your family actually loves to live. From initial spatial concepts through to final installation, our Maidenhead studio provides personalised design guidance, bespoke joinery coordination, and material selections, acting as your trusted advocate to bring clarity and ease to your entire home renovation. Where does Kate Lovejoy Interiors take on design projects?? →

Our residential interior design studio is based in Maidenhead, Berkshire. We collaborate on full home renovations and design projects across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and London. If your home is located outside of these counties, please get in touch as we frequently travel for the right creative partnership.

What is Kate Lovejoy Interiors' approach to designing and renovating homes? →

Each project at Kate Lovejoy Interiors begins with how you want to live – for family life, entertaining, rest and the years ahead.

Our Maidenhead studio seamlessly coordinates interior architecture, custom layouts, and furnishings as a whole, so nothing feels added on or like an afterthought. The result is a character-rich home across Berkshire or London that functions just as beautifully as it looks.

When is the right time to involve an interior designer in a home extension? →

The ideal time to involve Kate Lovejoy Interiors is at the very beginning of your journey, either before you approach an architect or while drawings are in their earliest stages. Exploring your home’s layout early allows us to map out spatial flow, furniture placement, and natural light together, giving you complete confidence in what is possible before any construction commitments are made.

Can we still work with Kate Lovejoy Interiors if we don't yet have a clear vision for our home? →

Many clients come to Kate Lovejoy Interiors without a fully formed vision for their home. That is never a problem—it is often the absolute best place to begin. Through gentle conversation, visual references, and collaborative spatial planning, we work side-by-side with you to find a design direction that feels entirely right and make it real.

Can you work alongside our existing architect or builder? →

A: Yes, absolutely. We love working in harmony with architects and builders, adding a gentle layer of interior care to their structural work. While they focus on the shell and engineering, our studio focuses on the interior human experience, mapping out how the rooms will track light, hold furniture and feel to live in day-to-day.
